Why order it?
The Programme guide: this is one of the best features of YouView. You can scroll backwards and forwards a week in either direction to play a programme you missed or a record a programme if it’s in the future. It also gives the option to record in HD if it’s available.
Searching for programmes ‘on demand’: what’s unique about YouView is its ability to find programmes ‘on demand’ from any of the players. So if you search for your favourite TV programme and it’s been shown on more than one channel eg ITV and More4, it’ll bring up all episodes from all series no matter which channel.
YouView HD: four HD channels (BBC One HD, BBC HD, ITV1 HD, Channel 4 HD).
How much will it cost?
We’re offering a YouView set-top box, with only a £49 activation charge, (plus £6.95 post and packaging) and no TV subscription to new BT Infinity customers.
Broadband customers not in an Infinity-enabled area can also get a YouView box for £49 plus p&p when they subscribe to TV Essential, starting at £4 a month. The recommended retail price in the shops is £299 so this is a great deal.
Existing BT Vision customers can also upgrade to YouView for £49 (£6.95 delivery) but will need to be out of their minimum term contract in order to renew it for YouView.
