FON network helps people connect after Japan tsunami

When an earthquake and tsunami hit Japan on March 11th 2011, the devastation was widespread. In an effort to help keep people connected to help and loved ones, the FON network was made completely free, and will continue to provide free WiFi access to everyone at 500,000 FON hotspots across Japan until the country’s state of emergency comes to an end.
