Parklife: Blur to headline BT London Live Closing Ceremony concert

Britpop legends Blur are to headline the BT London Live Closing Celebration Ceremony in Hyde Park on 12 August.
Special guests will be none other than Manchester’s electronic finest New Order and ska supremos The Specials, with another special guest TBA. This will be an unforgettably atmospheric night of music and celebration for thousands of ticketholders as highlights of the Olympics Closing Ceremony will also be beamed onto giant screens in Hyde Park.

Exclusive priority booking access for BT customers

BT customers can experience their very own “parklife” by applying for priority booking access to this very special gig.

It will be Blur’s single major live performance in 2012, following their Outstanding Contribution Award at tonight’s Brits ceremony. It sees them back onstage in Hyde Park following their legendary sold-out dates of summer 2009.

Tickets for the BT London Live Closing Ceremony Celebration Concert go on sale on Friday but BT customers  have exclusive 48 hour priority access to buy them first from 9am on Wednesday 22 February. Tickets cost £55 plus booking fee.

*Another BT London Live ticketed Celebration Concert in Hyde Park is set for Friday 27 July  to coincide with the London 2012 Opening Ceremony. Headline acts and ticket prices for the BT London Live Opening Ceremony Celebration Concert will be announced shortly. Each BT customer unique password is also valid for priority booking for this event.
