The BT Red Nose Desert Trek has begun!
The BT Red Nose Desert Trek has now begun, with nine celebrities braving the steep 4,000ft hill in scorching heat.
With the BT Chat For Change Day on Friday 18th February having so far raised a whopping £203,000, nine famous faces are now braving temperatures of up to 40 degrees as well as a host of deadly snakes and spiders as they cross the Kaisut Desert in Northern Kenya.
They are Ronni Ancona, Craig David, Lorraine Kelly, Scott Mills, Olly Murs, Dermot O’Leary, Nadia Sawalha, Kara Tointon and Peter White.
What’s it all for?
The aim of the trek is to raise money to help people living unimaginably tough lives both across Africa and the UK. In particular the money will help prevent thousands of people in Africa from going blind or contracting terrible eye conditions like trachoma, something which affects many people living in the region where the trek is taking place.

How are they getting on?
Scott Mills and Craig David discuss sweltering quiche while Lorraine Kelly reveals she’s so hot you could fry an egg on her head:
