X Factor: Movie night turns to horror for Craig
Movie night turned into a horror film for Craig as he was unexpectedly booted off the X Factor tonight.
After an understated performance by Rebecca Ferguson and a surprisingly clothed turn by Rihanna, the votes were announced.
Misha B looked shocked to be through to next week, as did newly flame-red Janet, who managed to scrape through to next week’s show despite decidedly mixed comments from the judges.
When the final two were revealed, Craig faced Amelia in the sing-off. He sang the Gerry Goffin and Carole King classic Will You Love Me Tomorrow while Amelia plumped for the Lady Gaga hit You and I.
When the judges delivered their final verdict, the panel was split, with the decision going to deadlock for the first time this series. Gary chose to send Amelia home after accusing her of shouting her way through her song. Then Kelly predictably chose to send Craig packing.
Tulisa claimed she was more torn that ever by the decision, but chose to send Amelia home as she was more emotionally connected with Craig’s song. Louis then typically put a spanner in the works, choosing to send Craig home after an ‘incredible’ sing-off.
When the votes were counted, it was Craig who had to go.
