X Factor: Misha B exits the competition as the final three are revealed
Motown night brought a mixed bag of performances from the four semi-finalists – as Little Mix and, surprisingly, Marcus struggled with bad comments from the judges – but in the end it was Misha B who left the show.
Tensions ran high on the panel this weekend – when Little Mix got a bad reaction from the judges, it provoked a round of furious desk pounding from mentor Tulisa.
To calm things down, on the results show, teen superstar Justin Bieber treated the audience to a rendition of a dirge-like Christmas tune from his new Under The Misletoe album (“in shops now”, he helpfully told us. Er, thanks). Judge Kelly Rowland later took to the stage to perform a medley of her hits complete with spoken intro (“I love you UK”) while she pranced the stage in a rapidly disappearing outfit.
When the votes came in, Little Mix, Marcus and Amelia Lily all sailed through to next week’s final – leaving Misha B cruelly cast out from the competition at the last stage.
Gary Barlow took on the mantle of a showbizzy Mother Shipton on Saturday night’s show, telling Misha that she had ‘no chance’ of winning the competition – either sealing her fate, or eerily predicting the future. Perhaps after next week’s final, Gary will be spotted telling fortunes at the end of Brighton Pier.
Still, after several spells in the bottom two, perhaps it was only a matter of time before Misha was cast out.
