Janet

Janet Devlin was the latest evictee on tonight’s X Factor results show, after judge Kelly Rowland dramatically abstained from voting.

Janet faced tough criticism from the judges last night for her fudged performance of Hanson’s MMMBop during which she forgot the words – despite most of the words being, um, ‘mmmbop’.

When tonight’s results were announced, Amelia Lily, Marcus and Little Mix all went through to next week’s semi final – leaving Misha B and Janet to sing for survival.

Janet sang Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars, while Misha B put in an emotional performance accompanied by chants of ‘Misha! Misha! from the audience.

When it came to the judges’ decision, Louis chose to send Janet home, saying he was taking everything into consideration, including tonight’s and last night’s performances.

Tulisa said she had to choose the person who would sell records and fill arenas after the series – and chose to send Janet home as well.

An emotional, flustered Kelly said she couldn’t make a decision. After babbling awhile, Dermot gave her the chance to abstain from voting and she took it – automatically sending Janet packing.

Gary rounded off Janet’s exit by saying he would have chosen to send her home as well. Seems like an open and shut case, m’lud.

That leaves Little Mix, Marcus, Amelia and Misha to fight for a place in the finals.

So did the right person get sent home? Who do you want to see in the final? Let us know below.
