Will Janine’s wedding go without a hitch in EastEnders? Not likely!
Next week in Soapland, there’s a wedding day drama, two surprise proposals, and some familiar faces make a welcome return…
EastEnders

The stress is too much for Janine
Janine and Michael’s relationship has had more ups and downs than Nemesis at Alton Towers – so it comes as no surprise to learn that the couple’s lavish wedding plans are about to be thrown into jeopardy.
Things start to unravel when Janine learns her family may not be able to make it to the ceremony. To make matters worse, Jean is continuing to harrass her about Michael’s cruel scam.
When Janine collapses in pain as she walks through the market, the doctor advises her that her wedding may be coming at the wrong time, as high levels of stress can be dangerous for the baby.

Michael loses his cool
Determined to do what’s best for her unborn child, Janine tells Michael she wants to postpone the wedding – and unwittingingly triggers another one of Mr Moon’s numbskulled displays of machismo. Convinced that Jean’s to blame, Michael storms round to the Vic to have it out with her. As the row escalates, Ray and Jack are forced to step in and throw him out of the pub.

The Butcher family are reunited
By Wednesday, Michael’s managed to get the wedding back on track, and Janine is thrilled when brother Ricky and sister Diane (last seen in Albert Square for Frank Butcher’s funeral in 2008), arrive unexpectedly with Morgan and Tiffany in tow.

Michael prepares to deliver a wedding day bombshell
The big day proves to be anything but smooth sailing, however. First off, Janine is bewildered when Michael leads her back down the aisle before the ceremony and finally admits the truth about Jean’s accusations. He then offers her a choice – tear up the pre-nup, or the wedding’s off. What will Janine do? Run for the hills, if she’s got any sense. But, before the day is over, there’s an even bigger surprise in store for the mum-to-be…

Tanya’s shocked to hear her daughter’s news
In other news, Jay pushes an uncomfortable Abi to reveal her engagement ring to her gobsmacked mum Tanya. Piling on the pressure, he then tells his young fiancée to abandon her trip-of-a-lifetime to Costa Rica, or their relationship is over. It’s an ultimatum he may live to regret…
Coronation Street

Karl and Sunita are caught in a compromising position
As a new week dawns in Weatherfield, cheating Karl is still desperately trying to get shot of Sunita from the Rovers. Sensing that Eva is also irked by her presence, Karl milks the situation, telling his sort-of stepdaughter that Sunita’s a freeloader, who’s taking advantage of Stella’s good nature.
Later, Eva overhears Sunita telling Karl she’s not prepared to keep his grubby little secrets any more – and when she walks in on the flustered pair, she spots some bank notes sticking out of Karl’s pocket. Confused by what she’s just witnessed, Eva confronts Karl, who immediately denies there’s any funny business going on.

Stella throws Karl out with the rubbish
Unconvinced, Eva tells her mum what she saw – and when Stella hears about the money, she assumes Karl is gambling again and goes in search of proof. When she stumbles across a wad of cash, she tosses Karl’s worldy goods onto the street and tells him it’s over between them.

Eva gives Sunita the evil eye
Meanwhile, over at the Alahans, Sunita tells Dev she wants to make a go of their relationship – and proves how serious she is by asking the mini-mart mogul to marry her. As the pair announce their engagement in the Rovers, Eva has a few choice words of advice for Sunita (now this, I can’t wait to hear…)

Carla has a suggestion for Peter
In other news, Peter’s still struggling to deal with the fact that son Simon has chosen to live with Leanne. Desperate to make Peter happy, Carla suggests they think about having kids of their own. Will he take her up on the offer? Sorry, soap fans, my lips are sealed…
Emmerdale

Chas and Cameron are caught in the act
For weeks now, soap fans have been suspending their disbelief willingly that no one in the village has sussed Cameron is cheating on Debbie with her own auntie – despite the fact the lovers have christened just about every surface in The Woolpack. But the pair’s secret affair is about to be exposed…
The drama unfolds when Chas meets Cameron at Gennie’s house, believing they’ll have the place to themselves. The couple are kissing passionately and are just about to head upstairs when the front door opens and a stunned Gennie catches them red handed.

Will Gennie rat on her own sister?
Chas desperately tries to explain herself, but before she has a chance Debbie suddenly shows up (eeek!). As Chas and Cameron make a quick exit, Gennie finds herself torn – should she tell Debbie the truth or cover for her sinful sister?

The Barton girls say farewell to Emmerdale
In other news, Hannah is thrilled when Holly suggests she move to London with her. At first, mum Moira vetoes the plan, desperate to keep at least one of her daughters in the village. But when Hannah packs her bags regardless, Moira realises she has no choice but to let her go. The excited sisters say their goodbyes – but, as their taxi departs, a devastated Moira is left fighting back the tears…

Laurel leaves Ashley reeling
Elsewhere, there’s bad news for Ashley, when Laurel tells him she wants a divorce. The gutted vicar begs his wife to give him another chance, but Laurel insists he can’t fix their relationship, so it’s better to knock it on the head now.

Let’s hope Alicia likes onions…
Meanwhile, there’s a surprise in store for Alicia when David pops the question – with an onion ring from a packet of crisps. And they say romance is dead!
