Both Rihanna and Cheryl Cole have just released new singles. However, only one of them has broken video viewing records…

Yes former X Factor darling Cheryl Cole has chosen a bad week to make a comeback with first single ‘Call My Name’ from third album ‘A Million Lights’.

Because Barbadian pop favourite Rihanna has also released her new single ‘Where Have You Been’ and it’s broken all viewing records, notching up a staggering 4.9m views in 24 hours on music video website Vevo.

Both videos feature their scantily-clad leading ladies, polished dance routines (well, more a quick feather duster-type of polish in Cheryl Cole’s case) and hunky backing dancers.

However, it is Rihanna’s video which is causing a worldwide buzz. It’s now had 10m views and climbing. The singer, renowned for her provocative routines and videos, is actually quite tame in this one.

‘Where Have You Been’ is the fourth official single from Rihanna’s latest album ‘Talk That Talk’.
