Not ‘such fun’ for Miranda as she prepares for her Red Nose challenge!
Miranda Hart is setting off around the country for The BT Red Nose Challenge: Miranda’s Mad March – completing a madcap challenge in five UK cities over five days.
Miranda’s challenges are a mystery, even to her. She’ll only find out what’s in store for her when it’s revealed live on Chris Evans’ Radio 2 Breakfast Show each morning. She’ll then have just a matter of hours to race against the clock and complete each crazy challenge – with the viewers of The One Show watching the final result live at the end of each day.
What we can tell you is that she’ll be doing things she never thought she’d have to do. But whether it involves romance, sequins or animals – which it might not – she’ll definitely be calling upon members of the public to help her on her way – so if you get approached by a flustered-looking woman asking desperately for your help, just say ‘yes’.
Miranda is the latest in a long line of celebs to put themselves through their paces to raise money for Comic Relief. She’ll be raising cash to help vaccinate children against deadly diseases that kill millions in Africa every single year, and help people living unimaginably tough lives across the UK. Just £5 could pay for a vaccine to help protect a child in Uganda against diseases like tetanus and hepatitis B or provide a hot meal for a young person living on the streets in the UK.
To help Miranda stay motivated throughout the challenge, we’re declaring ‘Chat for Change Day’ on Thursday 14th March. We’ll donate 1p to Red Nose Day for every call made from a BT home phone line or BT business line. *
Red Nose Day is on 15th March. Find out how to help at www.rednoseday.com
* BT will donate 1p for every phone call made by a BT residential and business calls and lines customer from a BT residential or business landline between 00.01 and 24.00 on the 14/03/13.
