Meet the Flat 6 flatmates

Our new ad launched on Saturday night – featuring a new cast of characters.

The new ads feature Jane’s son, Joe, from the BT Family ads as he moves into a flat with new characters Simon and Anna, played by BAFTA winner Daniel Rigby, and TV and film actress Rebecca Night.

The new ads will follow the three characters through the laughs, trials and tribulations of sharing a flat. A new study reveals that two in five people (42%) who have lived in a flat or house share, have done so with someone that they would happily never see again so it could go either way with these three. Hopefully we won’t see any annoying flatshare habits on screen which includes stealing food (53%), playing loud music at unsociable hours (52%) and hogging the TV remote (21%), according to the independent ICM survey.

The new ads will follow the three characters through the laughs, trials and tribulations of sharing a flat and follow on from our popular Adam and Jane ads that ran from 2005-2011. As Adam and Jane met, moved in together and eventually married, many people got involved in their key life moments.

Over 1.6 million people voted for Jane to fall pregnant in August 2010, while nearly half a million Facebook fans helped plan the Adam and Jane wedding.

Later in the year, there may be more opportunities for the public to get involved with the lives of Joe, Simon and Anna – so watch this space…
