kean-10-may

We’ve all seen the Blackburn fans venting their spleen at having Venky’s as owners and Steve Kean as manager. And while most observers probably felt sorry for Kean, taking a stadium-load of flak all on his own, don’t the fans have a right to complain when their club is being so obviously mismanaged?

Many will believe they do, but that they should do so before or after games. That supporters should do just that during games, ‘support’ the team. That’s easy to say when it’s not your team, says Iain Macintosh, but given the catalogue of poor decisions made by the owners and poor management of the team by Kean, it’s gone way past that. As relegation this week, proved.

In fact, he goes so far as to say that rather than condemning the fans for expressing their frustrations, they should be sympathised with.

From a club drowning in pessimism to one brimming with optimism. Despite seven years without a trophy, Arsène Wenger is attacking the transfer market hard ahead of a serious assault on the Premier League next season.

Jamie Sanderson is excited by Arsenal’s new transfer policy and explains why top-class target Yann M’Vila will be a perfect fit at the Emirates if, as expected, he joins Lukas Podolski for the start of the 2012/13 season.

And the Life’s A Pitch sofa experts believe that a new strategy of buying proven professionals will go a long way towards improving immediate results.

Elsewhere, we assess the latest transfer rumours and discover if Kenny Dalglish is about to get ruthless with his underperforming stars this summer.
