At her understated best: it's Lady Gaga

This week, Gaga is understated at the edge of glory, Example shakes off his spat with Alexandra Burke to land a number one, and Katy Perry teams up with YouTube sensation Rebecca Black…

This week’s best new video: Lady Gaga – The Edge Of Glory

For the third official single from her No.1 album ‘Born This Way’, Gaga keeps it simple without resorting to visual tricks or a big budget and is joined by legendary sax player Clarence Clemons, who sadly died earlier this week.

Hot this week – top 5

1. Example – Changed The Way You Kiss Me
Giving him his first ever official UK No.1 single, here’s the massively addictive song that saw the urban star rise to even bigger success as it became one of 2011’s ultimate feel-good tracks of the summer.

2. Rizzle Kicks – Down With The Trumpets
Jordan and Sylvester continued to build on the buzz they created with the single ‘Prophet’ and released this fan-favourite track, complete with a quirky little video shot in their hometown base of Brighton.

3. Katy Perry – Last Friday Night (TGIF)
With cameo appearances from YouTube legend Rebecca Black, plus 90s boyband Hanson, saxophone superstar Kenny G and loads more, here’s the brilliant party video for Katy’s song from her ‘Teenage Dream’ album.

4. Chipmunk with Trey Songz – Take Off
What a glamorous life young Chip leads these days. It’s only a short while since he was doing his school exams and now he’s here in a Miami with lovely laydeez in this video for his ‘Transition’ album track.

5. The Cataracs – Top Of The World
Featuring vocals from ‘Bass Down Low’ hitmaker Dev, here’s another top track from the production team and this looks like one of those parties that we’re very envious that nobody offered us an invite to!

Top 5 – Best of Coldplay

The multi Brit and Grammy-grabbing four piece have been one of the biggest bands in the world since Yellow in 2000. Here are their top 5 best tracks:
1. In My Place
2. Viva la Vida
3. Yellow
4. Clocks
5. Lost!
