It’s EastEnders’ Ian Beale as you’ve never seen him before!
Next week in Soapland, an (un)familiar face tramps back to Albert Square, a shocking secret is shared, and a young hunk reveals all…
EastEnders
Ever since Ian Beale did a disappearing act after his doomed wedding to Mandy Slater, we’ve all been wondering what’s become of him. Wonder no more, soap fans, for the tight-fisted fish-fryer is tramping back to Albert Square – quite literally!

Lauren can’t Beale-ieve her eyes…
The excitement begins when Lauren catches sight of a barely-recognisable Ian while she’s volunteering at a homeless hostel with Whitney. Unable to pluck up the courage to tell Lucy her dad’s become a dead ringer for Robinson Crusoe, Lauren confides in her stunned parents instead.

Alfie and the Brannings make a shock discovery
After enlisting Alfie’s help, the Brannings go in search of Ian, and are horrified to find him sleeping rough in an underpass. They take him back to the Square and, as Tanya tenderly treats a wound on his face, she can’t help but worry about the beardy businessman’s fragile mental state.

Tanya gives Ian a much-needed wash
How will Lucy react to the news of her dad’s return? Let’s just hope she’s working in the caff when she claps eyes on him – at least there’ll be plenty of hot, sweet tea on hand!

Will Cora finally come clean?
In other news, Tanya is still waiting for Cora to tell her about the sister she didn’t know she had. Her mum remains frustratingly tight-lipped on the subject, however, and it’s only when Lauren intervenes that Cora starts to open up about her haunted past.

Is Ray playing away from home?
Meanwhile, Kim is losing patience with Ray and his suspicious behaviour, which includes lots of missed calls from an unknown female, not being where he said he was going to be, and some exceedingly far-fetched excuses. Crikey, don’t say he’s got a new feline friend… that would be a real Kat-astrope for Kim!
Coronation Street
Poor Tyrone has been feeling the wrath of his temperamental fiancé Kirsty in recent weeks – and finally the stress of keeping her violent behaviour a secret becomes too much. The breaking point comes after Kirsty finds out that Tyrone’s agreed to give Tommy a break from his loan repayments, so he can take Tina away for the weekend. Furious at his generosity, the former WPC loses her temper yet again – and, as usual, Tyrone comes off worst.

Tyrone has some bad news for Tommy
The next day, a battered and bruised Tyrone gives in to Kirsty’s demands and tells Tommy he’s not willing to let him take a repayment break after all. Upset at the thought of sacrificing her holiday, Tina vows to have it out with Tyrone, but when she arrives at the garage she’s shocked to find him applying medication to his injuries.

Tina doesn’t know where to look…
The embarrassed mechanic quickly pulls his top back on and refuses to discuss the matter – but later, when he meets up with Tina for a drink, he comes clean about Kirsty’s abuse and insists it’s his fault for provoking her. Tina is understandably horrified, but Tyrone makes her promise not to tell anyone.

Just say ‘no’, Kylie!
Elsewhere, Ryan Connor cements his bad boy credentials when he offers Kylie cocaine on a night out – much to the young mum’s horror – before heading to the Gents for a quick snort.

Ryan’s street cred goes down the toilet
After getting wind of her son’s dubious antics, a furious Michelle drags him out of the toilet cubicle at the Rovers and screams at him in front of a crowded pub. Unfortunately, high-as-a-kite Ryan doesn’t take a blind bit of notice, forcing Michelle to take very desperate measures indeed.

Stella has some stern words for love cheat Karl
In other news, Karl’s hopes of a reconciliation with Stella are dashed when the still-smarting landlady tells him she’s consulted a solicitor and she wants him to sign the pub and mortgage over to her. Ouch.
Emmerdale
The temperature is set to rise in the Dales, when hunky Alex Moss turns up the heat on Moira by whipping off his top. The pair have been flirting for weeks – and, during the time he’s been working at the farm, young Alex has developed genuine feelings for his mate Adam’s mum.

Alex takes a cold shower
So when he splits up with girlfriend Victoria and chucks a pint of beer over himself in the Woolpack in frustration, Alex uses the opportunity to get saucy with Moira.

Moira gets an eyeful of Alex
After returning to the farm, he strips off his wet T-shirt, ready for the washing machine and… ooh, look, here comes Moira! Will the mum-of-three finally give into temptation? Check out that torso, ladies – could any woman in her right mind resist?

Amy seems unmoved by her mother’s plight
Elsewhere, Amy discovers Kerry is in hospital in a diabetic coma after hitting the bottle. At first, Amy tells Pollard and Brenda she doesn’t care if her mum lives or dies, but when Val explains the seriousness of the situation, Amy agrees to pay Kerry a visit.

Those nurses really ought to know better…
However, when she arrives at Hotten General, Amy is appalled to find an apparently fit and well Kerry outside the hospital, puffing away on a ciggie with a crowd of smokers. Fighting the urge to walk away, Amy listens as her mother tells her she’s always loved her and wants to make things up to her. Will Kerry be as good as her word? Let’s just say I’m not holding my breath…

Sparks fly between David and Priya
In other news, David fights a growing attraction to Priya, and Charity hatches a plan to take over the recycling contract at Kings Haulage (sounds like a load of rubbish to me).
