EastEnders’ Sharon makes a shock confession – but what is it?
Next week in Soapland, a son finally learns the truth about his father, an unlikely romance blossoms, a sleazebag gets his comeuppance, and a car smash has far-reaching consequences…
EastEnders
It’s another week of lip-quivering and smudged mascara for drama queen Sharon, as she finally tells son Denny the truth about his dad’s murder. As any pub quizzer worth their packet of salt ’n’ vinegar knows, Dennis Rickman was stabbed to death by one of Johnny Allen’s henchmen on New Year’s Eve, 2005. Since then, Sharon has sugar-coated the truth somewhat, telling Denny his dad was a helicopter pilot who was killed during a daring rescue.

Sharon breaks down outside the Queen Vic
In emotional scenes, Walford watchers will see Denny go missing after wandering outside to play. When Sharon can’t find him, she panics and starts frantically combing Albert Square in search of the little ’un. She eventually finds him outside The Queen Vic – at the very spot where Dennis died… talk about spooky! Fearing her lies are about to catch up with her, a sobbing Sharon comes clean to Denny about that fateful day.

Can Tanya and Sharon settle their differences over coffee?
Meanwhile, Tanya has spotted the blonde bombshell’s distress and approaches to ask if she fancies a coffee. Will this be a fresh start for the sworn enemies? Let’s hope so… Gawd knows, Sharon could use all the friends she can get right now.

Jay bravely opens his heart to Shirley
Elsewhere, Denise takes a drunken Shirley back to the B&B after finding her sleeping rough outside the Minute Mart. Finding himself face to face with Shirley, Jay pours his heart out, in the hope they can both find some peace. The only place Shirley wants to bury the hatchet is in Jay’s head, however, as she pins the startled teenager up against the wall, screaming that he and Ben deserve to hang for what they did to Heather.

Will Shirley ever be able to put the past behind her?
Realising Shirley can never forgive and forget, Denise and Patrick advise her that the best thing to do is to leave Walford and the painful memories behind. But before Shirley can pack her suitcase, she receives an unexpected – but not unwelcome – visitor.

Michael splashes the cash – but Janine’s not happy
In other news, Janine is shocked when she discovers a cheque stub for £20,000 and no named recipient. When she confronts Michael about the dosh, he takes her outside to reveal the sports car he bought for her as a surprise. Is Janine the tiniest bit grateful? Is she hell!
Emmerdale
Andy Sugden and common sense have never been the best of friends (this, remember, is the man who accidentally torched his mother in a fire – oops). Now, the farm boy is set to make another bad decision, by bedding Amy’s wayward mum Kerry.

Kerry clashes horribly with Andy’s sofa
In recent weeks, Andy and Kerry have bonded over their traumatic pasts – and when Amy tells her mum to stay away from her, Kerry heads round to see Andy in tears. Her new friend is quick to offer tea and sympathy, and in return Kerry cooks him a meal to say thank you. Lust blossoms over the boiled potatoes and before long, Andy is leading cougar Kerry to the bedroom.

Second helpings, anyone
Victoria’s horrified when she comes downstairs the next morning and finds Kerry in Andy’s shirt and precious little else. Val isn’t exactly hanging out the bunting either, and warns Andy he doesn’t know what he’s letting himself in for.

Val heartily disapproves of Andy’s new relationship
Meanwhile, the tension between Katie and Robbie is deepening, as Robbie continues to play his power games. Determined to expose him for the manipulative sleazebag he is, Katie formulates a fiendish plan to get him out of her life for good.

Robbie comes too close for comfort
After casually telling Robbie she’ll be alone at the stables all morning, Katie dons her tightest jodphurs and heads off for some equine excitement. Just as Katie knew he would, it isn’t long before Robbie shows up and makes a clumsy pass at her, unaware the CCTV is capturing his every move. When Katie blocks his attempt to kiss her, Robbie becomes aggressive, grabbing the young blonde and twisting her arm behind her back.

Declan sees Robbie’s true colours at last
Thankfully, a shaken Katie manages to escape relatively unscathed – and her ordeal turns out to be worth it, when she returns home and shows the CCTV footage to a gobsmacked Declan. Hah! Try talking your way out of this one, Robbie…
Coronation Street
As a new week dawns in Weatherfield, things seem to be looking up for a cash-strapped Tommy when he lands a night job as a security guard at a warehouse in Salford (ah well, beggars can’t be choosers). But it’s clear that working so hard is taking its toll, when Tommy falls asleep in the café, almost missing his shift delivering pizzas.

Working day and night puts Tommy in peril
Meanwhile Kirsty’s still intent on making Tommy’s life a misery, and continues her mischief by ordering a pizza – but when Tommy delivers it, she kicks up a fuss, claiming it’s the wrong order. After replacing the pizza, Tommy misses his bus to the security job, so takes the pizza van instead. But as he sets off, dead on his feet, he falls asleep at the wheel and crashes into the back of a truck.

Tina shows off her bedside manner
After rushing to Weatherfield General, Tina is relieved to find a groggy Tommy suffering from nothing more than a broken leg. But there’s another nasty surprise in store, when the pizza parlour boss arrives and delivers some devastating news about the van Tommy’s written off in the accident.

Gloria gives Karl the welcome he deserves
In other news, a feisty newcomer rocks up at the Rovers – in the shape of Stella’s mum Gloria (played by Brookside legend Sue Johnston). Upset to hear about Karl’s affair, Gloria manages to wangle his address from Eva before heading round to confront him. Cowardly Karl points the finger of blame firmly in Sunita’s direction – and earns himself a slap in the face for his trouble (tee hee).

Leanne is reunited with her long-lost gran
Later, Gloria is thrilled to meet Stella’s daughter Leanne for the first time, and wastes no time engineering a meeting between the two, hoping they can sort out their differences. However, Stella’s reaction takes them both by surprise…

Michelle can’t believe her son’s appalling taste in women
Elsewhere, Michelle and Steve are aghast when they’re introduced to Ryan’s new girlfriend and discover it’s none other than piggy-nosed professional meddler Tracy Barlow… arrrghhh!
