Dancing on Ice: The Only Way is Out For Lauren
The second batch of celebrities bravely took to the ice, but it was Lauren Goodger who skated back home after failing to win over the judges.
The Only Way is Essex star found her herself in the skate off with Anthea Turner, after a previously awkward performance earlier in the night, in which mean judge Jason Gardiner described her as a ‘walrus.’
How did they fair on the ice?
The remaining six brave celebrities gave their all on the ice last night, but how did they get on?
Gareth Thomas – He was first to skate and seemed to have a fair few tricks up his sleeve in order to pull out an impressive performance (the rugby player has apparently been learning ballet!). It seemed to pay off, however, as he surprisingly received the highest score of the night with the judges.
Lauren Goodger
She gave it her best shot, despite claiming the ‘ice was too slippery’ (really, Lauren, really?) but it wasn’t enough as nerves apparently overcame her. Not even a last ditch attempt at dancing her skate off song to ‘Rescue Me’ could save her…something the judges clearly chose not to do!
Joe Pasquale
Providing the comedy highlight of the evening, comedian Joe managed to fall over twice during his performance – neither of which were actually on the ice (a Dancing on Ice first?). However, I doubt he will be going home anytime soon – does anyone remember Todd Carty?
Oona King
The Labour peer took to the ice very confidently and scored well with the judges. She even said that she would ‘die happy’ after receiving a compliment from head judge Robin Cousins.
Luke Campbell
He came out skating in a gold top, to the song ‘Gold Forever’ (just to be completely sure that we all knew he was a gold medallist). Swapping the boxing ring for the rink seemed to be a good move though as his performance appeared to tick a lot of ice boxes. Even Jason told him that he had ‘potential’…
Anthea Turner

‘Elegant’ Anthea Turner survives another week
Jason described the TV presenter as ‘elegant’, ‘beautiful’ and ‘committed’ after her skate off performance against Lauren Goodger. Maybe she is living up to her ‘Princess Tippytoes’ reputation after all…
