Next week in Soapland, a catfight has dramatic consequences, a custody battle turns violent, and two secret affairs are exposed…

Coronation Street

Everyone knows that Tina and Kirsty can’t stand the sight of each other, and next week, the girls’ feud spirals out of control – with shocking results. The catfight kicks off when Tina discovers she’s going to be left homeless, after conniving Kirsty encouraged Julie to make an offer on Jason’s flat.

The baby’s coming… eeek!

After tracking Kirsty down to the Rovers, Tina tells the ex-copper just what she thinks of her. A scuffle breaks out and in the melee, Kirsty falls backwards onto a table. Before you can say “Fetch me some towels and some hot water”, Kirsty’s waters have broken and the baby is on its way.

Kirsty becomes a mum – with a little help from Marcus

Luckily, Weatherfield’s resident midwife Marcus is on hand to help and, after being taken into the Rovers back room, Kirsty gives birth to a beautiful baby girl, as proud dad Tyrone looks on.

Tina gets short shrift when she comes bearing gifts

Tina’s treatment of Kirsty doesn’t go down well with the locals and soon Tina is feeling more of an outcast then ever. When Kirsty returns from hospital, Tina tries to build bridges by buying baby gifts – only to receive a very frosty reception from the new parents.

Izzy tells Gary to go it alone

Elsewhere, Womb Wars continue as Izzy presses ahead with the surrogacy, despite the disapproval of dad Owen. But when the fertility clinic counsellor challenges Katy’s suitability as a surrogate, due to her young age, Izzy makes the difficult decision to abandon her plans. There’s even more heartache in store when she tells boyfriend Gary he deserves the chance to have a family and that he’d be better off without her.

Tina has a shocking proposal for Tommy

Determined to make his daughter’s dream of motherhood a reality, Owen says he’ll pay whatever it costs so that she and Gary can have a child together. When Tina gets wind of this generous offer, she has an idea that could just solve her money worries for good. The big question is – will boyfriend Tommy agree?

EastEnders

The magnificent Kat – she of the killer cleavage and scary lipstick – takes centre stage in Albert Square next week, when her secret affair is revealed. Her web of deceit starts unravelling when she sneaks away for another dangerous liaison with her lover. But instead of returning home, she ends up falling asleep at the bedsit. Oops.

Kat knows she’s been a naughty girl

After waking up alone in the marital bed, a worried Alfie goes in search of his wife. Meanwhile, a panic-stricken Kat rushes back to The Vic, just in time to use Kim as a scapegoat to cover up her overnight shenanigans. Wracked with guilt (hmmm, it’s a bit late for that, madam), Kat calls her mystery man and tells him their affair is over.

Which one of these prize specimens is Kat’s secret lover?

Her lover has other ideas, however, and promptly dispatches a bouquet of flowers to the Queen Vic, together with a card saying “I know you love me too”. As Kat tells Alfie the flowers are from her dad, the four prime suspects – Michael and the three Branning brothers – all look on with stupid smirks on their faces.

Kat breaks the bad news to Alfie

It’s hardly surprising that Alfie is starting to smell a rat and, when he finally plucks up the courage to confront Kat, she tells him the heartbreaking truth: there is someone else – and what’s more, she may have fallen in love with him. Is this the end for one of Walford’s best-loved couples? I can hardly bear to contemplate the possibility…

Michael takes delivery of a new suit

Elsewhere, Janine’s descent into lunacy continues. Desperate to prove she trusts Michael, she showers him with expensive gifts, including a brand new suit and a fancy watch.

Does Michael love money more than Janine?

There’s an even bigger surprise in store when Michael arrives home to find Janine waiting for him with a suitcase stuffed with hundreds of thousands of pounds and an ultimatum: me or the money. Which one will Michael choose? Well, Walford watchers, you might just be surprised…

Emmerdale

Moira Barton has been hiding a guilty secret under her voluminous anorak for weeks – and next week, the mum-of-three decides the time has come to tell son Adam she’s been getting mucky down on t’farm with his best mate, Alex. Unfortunately, someone else beats her to it…

Victoria demands to know if there’s another woman

The drama begins when Andy catches Moira snogging Alex. Horrified to discover Alex is two-timing his sister Victoria, Andy insists he finishes with her. But when Alex carries out his instructions, up at the farm, Victoria throws a hissy fit (not unreasonably), convinced Alex has been seeing someone else.

Victoria exposes Alex’s affair with Moira

Andy and Moira try to calm Victoria down, but eventually Moira is forced to step in and admit she’s the other woman. With a furious Victoria now on the warpath, Moira tries to find Adam so she can tell him about the affair. Unfortunately, Victoria gets there first, having decided that revenge is a dish best served in front of a crowded Woolpack.

Pearl makes a shock discovery

Elsewhere, Rhona and Paddy are still plotting to flee to New Zealand with Leo. When locum vet Matt arrives at the surgery, receptionist Pearl is immediately suspicious – and it isn’t long before she catches Paddy and Rhona with their bags and passports. The newlyweds beg Pearl to keep quiet – but later, feeling guilty – she tells Marlon that the couple are planning to do a runner.

Paddy and Marlon come to blows

Marlon wants to go and get Leo straight away, but Laurel convinces him to call the police instead. Meanwhile, the taxi has arrived to take the Kirks to the airport. Unable to wait any longer, Marlon catches Paddy and Rhona as they’re saying their goodbyes to Pearl. Desperate to stop them leaving, he hurls himself at Paddy – just as the cops arrive.

Paddy feels the long arm of the law

When a police officer tries to break up the fight, he ends up getting walloped himself, and Marlon and Paddy are both arrested. As Paddy is taken to the police car, he urges Rhona to go to New Zealand without him. Will she take his advice and disappear with little Leo for ever? For Marlon’s sake, I do hope not…
