Corrie’s Leanne and Nick are back together – but not everyone’s happy
Next week in Soapland, there’s a romantic reunion, a shock proposal, an escaped rodent, and a new dad faces a crisis of conscience…
Coronation Street

Eva’s pleas fall on deaf ears
Leanne and Nick have been making cow eyes at each other for what seems like forever – and now the Street’s answer to Liz Taylor and Richard Burton are set for yet another reunion. In recent weeks, Weatherfield watchers have seen Nick’s ex-girlfriend Eva pull out all the stops to win back her man. But the curvaceous blonde realises her efforts have been in vain when Nick tells her he doesn’t love her and never will (ouch!) – because he has feelings for a mystery woman.
Afterwards, restaurant owner Nick decides to lays his cards on the table with Leanne, declaring his undying love for her. Throwing caution to the wind, Leanne agrees to get back with her ex, despite knowing what half-sister Eva’s reaction will be.

Peter’s shocked to learn Leanne’s back with Nick
Sure enough, Eva is furious over the new development, convinced the relationship has been going on in secret for ages and that Leanne has played her for a fool. Meanwhile, the girls’ mum Stella reckons the reunion is a recipe for disaster, as she isn’t sure that Leanne really loves Nick. As for the views of Leanne’s ex-husband Peter… I won’t even go there.

Three is definitely a crowd…
Meanwhile, the path of true love is also rocky for Sean and Marcus. Already suspicious about the amount of time Marcus is spending with new work colleague Aiden, Sean is furious when Aiden gatecrashes their romantic dinner à deux, following a family row about his coming out.

Will Marcus give in to temptation?
When Sean makes no attempt to hide his annoyance, a row erupts with Marcus, and by the next morning relations between the pair are chillier than liquid nitrogen. As tensions reach breaking point, Marcus storms out of the house and heads into town with Aiden for a drink – and, when Aiden leans in for a kiss, Marcus finds himself facing a very difficult decision.

An inspector calls…
In other news, there’s trouble at t’Rovers when Craig’s pet rodent makes a break for freedom – just as the inspector pays a visit. Will he smell a rat? For Stella’s sake, we do hope not…

Gennie doesn’t beat around the bush
After being caught in flagrante by Gennie, you’d think Chas and Cameron would have learned their lesson – but far from putting the brakes on their affair, the lovers decide to take their relationship to the next level.
The drama unfolds after Gennie gives the couple an ultimatum: end the affair, or she’ll tell Debbie everything. Unable to bear the thought of being apart, Chas and Cameron decide to run away together. As Chas starts packing, Cameron lies to Debbie, saying he has to go to Jersey to visit his kids – and, when little Sarah frets about missing her bedtime story, her surrogate daddy looks her right in the eye and promises her it won’t be for long. Shame on him!

Nikhil has a very important question for Gennie
Meanwhile, Gennie has problems of her own, worrying about how she’s going to cope as a single mum. Needless to say, she’s gobsmacked when Nikhil goes down on one knee at the factory. A thrilled Gennie can hardly say yes fast enough – but when Nikhil admits he knows about the pregnancy, she fears he’s proposing for all the wrong reasons and hands back the ring, telling him to keep it until he finds someone he loves. Can Nikhil persuade the mum-to-be to change her mind? I’m keeping everything crossed…

Charity refuses to buckle
Nikhil may be a knight in shining armour, but sadly the same can’t be said of his brother Jai. Discovering that Nikhil is about to become a dad, Jai confronts Charity yet again about the possibility of starting a family of their own. But when Charity stands firm, insisting she doesn’t want any more children, her hubby reacts by getting drunk after work.

Jai plays away from home
Afterwards, Jai staggers back to the factory, where Rachel has just started her cleaning shift. The sweet-toothed confectionery king offers his young employee a drink, and it’s not long before one thing leads to another. Baaad Jai!

Val crashes Amy’s birthday… quite literally
In other news, Val promises to give Amy an 18th birthday to remember. True to her word, she arrives at the B&B on a shiny new moped for her foster daughter – but, as she revs the engine, she loses control of the vehicle and drives it straight into an unsuspecting Pollard. Talk about a wheely bad birthday surprise…

Janine’s baby fights for life
With his sharp tongue and steely-eyed stare, Michael Moon has never been the sensitive sort – but following the arrival of his premature daughter, his emotions will be stretched to the limit.
As a new week dawns in Walford, Michael and Janine are keeping an anxious vigil beside the poorly tot’s incubator. When an exhausted Janine heads back to her room to rest, Michael falls asleep in his chair – only to be woken by the sound of alarms going off around the incubator – eeek! As medical staff rush to tend to the little ’un, Michael rises to his feet and impassively walks out of the hospital.

Michael struggles to cope with fatherhood
Back in Walford, the cold-hearted Mr Moon packs a bag, before heading to Butcher’s Joints and ransacking the place, taking anything that could be useful – but before he can do a runner, Jean appears. Realising what Michael’s up to, Jean calmly locks the door and tosses the key into the debris on the floor.
As Michael frantically searches for the key, Jean produces his beloved St Christopher and urges him not to run away from his vulnerable daughter. Michael makes a grab for his lucky charm, but Jean refuses to let it go, telling him she knows he’s scared but that even he is capable of love. Will Michael do the right thing? If there’s a crumb of compassion buried beneath that icy exterior, he’ll run back to the hospital as fast as his legs will carry him…
In other news, Lola exacts a messy revenge on Lucy after being fired from Beale’s Plaice – by chucking chip fat all over the cars at Branning Brothers. When Max sees the chaos, he and Phil confront Lucy, assuming this is her way of getting back at Derek. When Lucy desperately denies any wrong doing, Phil casually mentions contacting social services about Ian’s absence. Worried at the prospect of losing Bobby, Lucy reluctantly agrees to pay for the damage to the cars.

Lucy discovers Lola’s deceit
Lola’s not about to get away scot-free, however – and when Jay inadvertently lets slip to Lucy that Lola was behind the sabotage, Lucy wastes no time shopping her to the police.

Billy and Lola visit their social worker
Later, as Lola and Billy leave a meeting with their social worker, pleased that everything is falling into place, they’re stunned to see a police officer approaching, wanting to question Lola on vandalism charges. Meanwhile, a smiling Lucy watches on from across the Square – mwah, hah hah!
