Congrats Leanne and Peter - you're about to have the wedding from hell

This week, Leanne prepares to walk down the aisle into the mother of all arguments, Heather releases a poison gas in the Square and Henshall holes up with Katie as the police close in…

Coronation Street

Here comes the bride…about to walk into a vile, horrible trap. As Leanne hitches up her garter and prepares for her Valentine’s Day blessing she’s blissfully unaware that Peter is plotting his wicked revenge. Will he ruin the big day for both of them? I wouldn’t be in the slightest bit surprised. I am surprised, however, that La Battersby has the brass neck to wear white on her big day.

The fall-out of the wedding shouting match between Peter and everyone else sees poor Leanne once again on her uppers – but is this the end of her days on the Street? Will a last minute appeal from Ken to Peter’s better nature save their ropey romance?

The Jeff/Alfie saga rumbles on, with him begging Sally for forgiveness, and promising to put things right with Rosie. As she tucks into another romantic candlelit meal with him at home, Kevin pitches up with Lloyd and Cheryl, claiming they’re interested in buying the house. A furious row ensues, with poor Jeff bearing the brunt of Kevin’s wrath – and ruining his romantic night with Sally.

The MacDonalds return to the Rovers (see what I did there?), and Becky’s furious when she learns the evil Tracy will be staying on behind the bar in her bid to break the Guinness World Record for being the world’s most obnoxious barmaid.

EastEnders

Michael prepares to be surprised by Jack’s fist

Michael is understandably surprised when Jack punches him in the face. Well you would be, wouldn’t you? Obviously not having had his fill of confrontation, Michael embarks on a slanging match with Ronnie when he learns she’s told Jack that he came on to her. But will Jack find the picture of Michael hidden in the flat?

Over in Grinding Poverty Corner, Heather arranges to watch a DVD with Shirley, but claims her telly is broken as she’s ashamed to let her see the flat. She’s then reduced to washing baby George in the sink at the launderette. Remember the conditioner if you want him really soft, Heather.

Then to make matters worse – and why not, it’s EastEnders after all! – Heather loses her shift at the launderette and Shirley can’t pay her for her cleaning job. Still, look on the bright side, eh?

Oh, but then Morgan breaks George’s buggy. Mind you, ever cloud and all that, eh?

But then she tries to borrow money from her mum but learns Queenie has moved away. Then (and I’m starting to lose the will to live here) Heather’s boiler breaks, leaking deadly fumes while she sits unconscious in her chair. Oh, and then someone tells her that her dress doesn’t match her shoes. (OK, I made the last one up).

And in the continuing bawdy adventures of Roxy, Christian is angry when he finds her half-naked with Michael as she’s supposed to be concentrating on the surrogacy. That’s right Roxy, concentrate on one crazy entanglement at a time please.

Emmerdale

Katie tries singing a Celine Dion number to calm Henshall, but he’s clearly unimpressed

Henshall gets up to more than just his old tricks when he hears that there’s CCTV coverage of the shop where he bought the mobile phone he used to torment Katie.

Deciding to disappear (hooray!), he tells Katie they should get away from Emmerdale. But while she’s packing her smalls, Katie finds newspaper clippings about the fire that killed Henshall’s wife.

She tries to make a break for it, but Henshall won’t let her leave. Then, with the police circling the cottage, Henshall starts behaving erratically (starts?) and takes out a gun. But is he a danger to Katie or himself?
