5 things I hate about social networking sites

Maybe I got out the wrong side of the bed this morning. Maybe I’m just hacked off at stumbling across another photo album of someone’s sun-drenched holiday to the Bahamas. Whatever the reason, here it is: my top 5 “hates” when it comes to social networking sites.

1. ‘Fun’ games

First off, I don’t care about your farm, your mafia war, or what your name really means. Enough said.

2. Viruses

Leave us alone. We thought we were safe here, with our friends. But no, there you are telling us to ‘click here to see who’s viewed your profile!!!! 100% this works!!!!’ It doesn’t.

3. Get a room!

Couples who live out their private relationships in public forums. ‘I love you, hubbywubby.’ ‘I love you too, snugglebum.’ ‘Would you like a cup of tea, darling?’ ‘Yes please, sweet pea.’ When they are actually in the same room. Get a grip.

4. Horror photos

Being tagged in some ghastly, grainy photo from the early 90s that a so-called friend has chosen to post. You know, the one where you’re wearing the oversize red specs, the paisley waistcoat and the earring, like Timmy Mallet’s cousin only the one with worse dress sense.

5. Big Brother

Most of all, I hate that I am totally addicted to following the weft and warp of other people’s lives. So, the thing I hate most about social networking sites? Me!

What gets your goat? Let it all out!
